Welcome to official website Soteria!Soteria, a ministry of deliverance and spiritual warfare, serving Christians particularly in the French-speaking world
The name, Soteria, is taken from Luke 1:68-75; 79
"Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come and has redeemed his people. He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago), salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us - to show mercy to our fathers and to remember his holy covenant, the oath he swore to our father Abraham: (see Hebrews 6:13-19) to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve him without fear in holiness and righteousness before him all our days. ...to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace."
Soteria means:
Soteria, in Greek, is a key that opens access to numerous riches:
- that of salvation, of the Savior who delivers and who gives grace to the guilty ones.
- that of the deliverer, from the power of the devil and of death.
- that of the counselor, who brings wisdom and security
- that of the Prince of Peace, who assures all the redeemed of eternal life in His Kingdom.
- that of deliverance from enemies who molest.
- that which, in a moral sense, brings security and salvation to souls.
- that of a quadruple salvation, which saves from judgment and from guilt, which triumphs over the power of money and communicates to us an authentic love.
Soteria has a vision
Isaiah 61:1-3
- to bring good news to the hurting
- to heal those with broken hearts
- to proclaim liberty to captives and deliverance to prisoners
- Soteria desires to encourage the ministry of deliverance and spiritual warfare by organizing various seminars regarding these subjects.
Soteria, a ministry with many aspects
| Compassion |
Many people benefit from the ministry of authority conferred to those who practice deliverance. This is an important action, but is not an end in itself, rather a decisive step towards a lifestyle of victory. |
| Intercession |
Each month we meet to intercede for the nations and the Church, exhorted by various messages and testimonies. We are equally involved in national movements of prayer, humility and spiritual warfare. |
| Worship |
We believe in the power of worship and the responsibility of each believer to worship and serve the only God, who revealed himself in Jesus Christ. Much time is given to this aspect during our seminars. |
| Training |
Many Christians are distraught when confronted with prayers for deliverance. The seminars are organized to help familiarize them with this practice. We also encourage the people of God to enter into spiritual warfare. |
Reference materials
|
Excellent books and brochures, as well as recordings from previous seminars are available to deepen one's understanding of this subject. |
| Publications |
A number of books have been published on the themes of deliverance and spiritual warfare. Several authors have given us publishing rights in French. |
| Missions |
Overseas trips are undertaken to support and encourage different ministries and churches. |
How we operate
Created in November of 1997 in Switzerland, The association, Soteria, has a goal to develop the ministry that Jean-Marc and Edmée Bigler have been practicing for over thirty years.
Soteria is composed of an executive committee of several members who manage and organize the resources of the association. A larger group, made up of spiritual leaders, support them with prayer and counsel.
Many noteworthy people support and recognize this ministry:
Pierre Amey, Tom Blooomer, Jean-Claude Chabloz, Jean-Louis Chamouton, Jean-Pierre Chapuis, John Edwards, Vincent Fernandez, Pierre Guignard, Michel Henri, Werner Lehmann, Michel Renevier, Rolf Schneider, Armin Suter, Jean-Claude Vuffray, Etienne Vernaz, Jean-Luc Ziehli.
Soteria collaborates with all churches who desire this input and seeks to serve the body of Christ in the French-speaking world.
As a non-profit association, Soteria does not raise financial support. It is self-supporting through occasional gifts and offerings. Whenever it is possible, we give offerings to churches and overseas missions.
